Description: Street scene of Salesville, Montana, now known as Gallatin Gateway. The town was named for Z. Sales, who bought a sawmill at the site. The name was changed in 1927 to Gallatin Gateway, by the Milwaukee road, when this town became the terminus of the branch line from Three Forks, carrying passengers for the trip through Yellowstone park by way of Gallatin canyon. 2 x 3 in. print. 4 x 5 in. copy neg.
