Description: General view of Columbia Gardens, a play area in Butte, built by copper magnate William Clark for the children of Butte. It had a pavilion, giant swings, a playground, merry-go-round, roller coaster, and a zoo. He named it Columbia because the area was discovered in 1876, the same year Philadelphia held the Columbia Centennial. Vintage 7x3.5 in. stereograph.
